Mountain Biking... get off the beaten track!

Highs and Lows - Lefkas is a mountainous island and the countryside bounding Vassiliki bay is no exception, with steep, wooded mountain-sides running down to the sea. Behind the beach is a gentle valley of orange and olive groves though towering in the distance is Mount Stravrota – at 1157m a mighty challenge for any adventurer.

Sights and Sounds - This combination of stunning countryside offers both challenging hill climbs and gentle rides, suitable for the ardent enthusiast and those who like a more ‘freewheeling’ style of ride. The seemingly endless trails that meander through the valley let you gently explore the hidden charms of this lovely island. Even taking some of the less challenging hill climbs brings no small reward with great views of the bay. But for those who make the effort the climb above the west coast of the bay, along the various mountain tracks, provides you with absolutely stunning vistas of Vassiliki, and across the waters to the islands of Cephalonia and Ithaca.

Ins and Outs - We provide guided rides, usually one challenging and one gentle during the day, so you can choose either or both depending on how keen you are. If you want to head off on your own, no problem, we’ll point you in the right direction and look out for your return. For serious enthusiasts off-roading is awesome but not for the faint-hearted!

Whatever your choices it will still leave you with lots of time to rest those weary calves down by the beach bar …or grab a massage.
