Active Kids

Fun for all the family - We know holidays are an important time for families and it’s great for mum, dad and the kids to have some quality time together, and there’s no better way to do this than by having some fun time together. Which is why we believe our Active Adventures programme is great for families.

The programme is generally suitable for kids aged 10 years and above. However, suitability for certain activities depends more on kids’ size, strength and stamina so we’re happy to take slightly younger ones if you feel they can cope with the demands of the activity.

A bit of me time - Of course it’s also nice to have a bit of me time as well and the mix of activities we offer allow this. They also let the kids have a bit of ‘freedom’ from mum & dad whilst still being fully supervised by our staff so you can enjoy your active day without worrying about them.

Time together - Some of the activities (Kayaking, Sea Safari & Diving) require kids aged 15 years or under to be accompanied on the activity by a parent or guardian. This is due to the activity being conducted away from our base and we know from experience that kids get more from these days when mum or dad or both are on hand.

Time apart - On the other activities (Sailing, Windsurfing & Mountain Biking) we can provide supervision without parental accompaniment during the activity as they take place from our centre. Of course it’s not compulsory, so if you want to sail with them or take a bike ride together that’s great. But if you want to concentrate on developing your sailing or windsurfing skills (and not be shown up by your kids!) we’ll keep you separate…what we can’t promise is that you’ll be better than them at the end of the day!

Tailor made - We appreciate that some parents might not want to do some of the activities that require parental accompaniment (Kayaking, Sea Safari & Diving), but we can tailor our Active Adventures programme so all the family enjoy to the full their active holiday – click here for details or call us for help and advice.
